OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WILL NOT TURN ON

If an electric stove will not ignite, first be sure the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light on gas models. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is lit, it means another part of the oven will need to be replaced. The reason for the issue could be an infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner that doesn’t heat does not do much. An oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner doesn’t turn on when an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these issues in no more than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

TIMER PROBLEMS

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program functions are not working. If that is the case, we know how to fix control boards for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands and models of ovens, ranges and stoves. We provide a warranty on control panels and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our technicians know how to diagnose the reason for the problem and then repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOES NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is that an igniter will glow but it won’t light. The cause is from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we will have to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens can have door problems. The door does not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to identify why the door will not open up and then we complete the necessary repair in order to put an end to the problem.
